Mayorga & Mayorga Abogados® Ltd., born as a Firm of Legal Services in 1.990 through the initiative of its partners Mauricio and Carlos Felipe Mayorga Patarroyo, initially focused towards the Advisory and Judicial Representation regarding Private Law in Bogotá (Colombia).

The initial areas of performance were oriented to Civil Liability, - Contractual or Torts (Extracontractual) -, Insurance Law, Transportation Law and Professional Civil Liability, especially representing corporations in these kind of disputes (Financial Establishments, Health Service Organizations, among others).

In later developments, the practice areas were extended to Corporate Law (Business Entity Law, Competition and Consumers Law), Business Law (Commercial Contracts and National and Foreign Investment Projects) and Real-State Law. These areas are especially important because of the magnitude of the operations assisted and the special knowledge regarding these issues.

Since 1999 extended the practice to Public Law, particularly through the attention of issues related to Public Liability, Public Contracts, Constitutional Actions, Disciplinary Procedures and Fiscal Liability.

In this stage the Firm has advised important National Public Entities through the discussion, the strategic decision making and the representation before judicial or arbitration courts in high complexity and important amount cases, defending public funds.

Recently, the Firm’s operation has been consolidated specially in legal disputes before the Civil Courts, Administrative Courts and Arbitration Courts in issues regarding Private and Public Law nationwide.
